My journey with Rainbow School started when my friend introduced me to Tamaki and Kru Tomoko, and that is how I become a teacher here. I did not know how to be a teacher. I had never thought I would become a teacher. When I first started, I was asked to take care of kindergarten children and life skill subjects (Broom making). When Kru Tomoko asked me to teach Thai and Math, I felt honoured and challenged. I told myself to do my best, improve my skill and pass what I learned to the children. So far, I have worked with children for about 12 years, since I was 25 years old. Now, I am 37 with a family of 3 children of my own. I would like to thank you for having me as part of Rainbow School. I have learned from all experiences – either right or wrong. I have learned to be patient and to explore new things. I have found good and genuine friends. All I hope is that when the children grow up, they become a good person, who can take care of themselves, being able to share, help and live happily in society. Thank you.

It was a coincidence about how I come to work here at Rainbow School. I was taking care of my mother who was sick at home when I met my friend Kru Pla, former Rainbow School’s teacher. I asked her if there is any jobs in the area, and days later Kru Pla and Kru Tomoko came to my house and asked me to join the school. That was how I became a teacher at Rainbow School. I teach them and cook lunch for them every day. I’m determined to do my best every day. I am happy for the opportunities the children get from the school. I hope they grow up well, being able to take care of themselves and their families, and being part of the society happily.

When I first joined Rainbow School back then, I just wanted to get a job, earn some money and spend my wisdom in a useful way, but as I live and spend time with children, it makes me contemplate many things in life. There are things that I learn along with them, things that I learn from them. These children are stronger than any children I have come across. I had to admit that there is happiness as well as sadness, sometimes anger but all experience is fascinating. Rainbow School practices the principle that is similar to the Sufficiency Economy of King Rama 9 which reminded me of my root. I deeply hope that my wisdom, my strength and experience will be of use to the children. Thank you.

Joining Rainbow School fulfilled my dream of wanting to teach in this kind of school once in my life. This school gives me an opportunity to learn things that I am yet to know. It is also fun to look after children like my own kids thinking that I used to be taken care of when I was young. I learned that taking care of kids is not an easy task but I try to do as best as I can. I am happy when I see them succeed. I do believe that these children will be able to survive in life. The only thing I am afraid of is that we are living in a world that changes rapidly, and this outside world might harm them. Our children are still fragile for the world. As their teacher and their father, I will do as best as I can. Thank you.
